This past week, AEA travelled to the biomass capital of Prince George, BC to attend the International Bioenergy Conference.  We toured both the University of Northern British Columbia’s biomass gasification facility, providing 89% of the heat loads of the entire university of 4500 people, and Prince George’s biomass district energy system, connecting 10 downtown buildings.  During the week we met delegates from around the world as well as from communities similar to ours in the NWT and learned about upcoming and already on the market biomass technologies.
