The Yellowknife Inn recieved a rebate cheque for $10,000 through the Commercial Energy Conservation and Efficiency Program (CECEP). The hotel qualified for funding by replacing an old ventilation unit with one that includes a variable frequency drive on its supply motor to ensure the right amount of fresh air is supplied to the building. The new unit uses less electricity and can potentially lower the heating bills by controlling the fresh air more efficiently.
