The Roman Empire building, on the corner of 51st and 51st in Yellowknife, has completed extensive envelope upgrades including adding 2 inches of rigid foam insulation, and new Energy Star zone ”D” rated triple pane windows and doors. It is estimated that these building envelope upgrades will save the new tenants over $6,000/year in energy savings. The owners qualified for $10,000 in funding through the Commercial Energy Conservation and Efficiency Program (CECEP). Contact AEA for more information on the program.
