AEA is releasing 4 new short videos exploring biomass-fuelled district heating systems in 3 NWT communities – Fort Providence, Behchoko and Yellowknife. The video journey starts in the community of Fort Providence where the Deh Gah Gotie Dene Band is considering a wood chip co-generation system for heat and electricity. The video journey then moves onto Behchoko where the Tåîchô Investment Corporation recently installed a wood pellet boiler to heat 7 buildings. The journey finishes in Yellowknife with a look at a wood pellet boiler that has been heating 3 community buildings for 4 years.
