On April 17th, Aurora College students in Fort Providence were able to view Arctic Energy Alliance's (AEA) new Community Wood Energy/Biomass video. They were joined by the Fort Providence English Literacy students for an impromptu information session set-up by Teresa Chilkowich, AEA’s Dehcho Energy Project Coordinator. The students and instructors were keen to ask questions that were sparked during the presentation offered by Linda Todd and Margaret Mahon from AEA’s Yellowknife office. Explanations about what biomass is and how district heating systems work were a few topics covered that sparked a variety of engaging discussions with this group before they headed off for lunch that day.
