The Arctic Energy Alliance (AEA) is pleased to issue the first rebates under the Alternative Energy Technologies Program since taking on the administration of this program for the GNWT in late spring of this year.

The purpose of the program is to support individuals and businesses to install alternative energy technologies by offering a 1/3 rebate to a limit of $5,000 for individuals and $15,000 for businesses. Program guidelines and application forms can be found on the AEA website. Examples of these technologies are solar photovoltaic (PV), solar hot water, solar air heating, wind turbines, ground source heat pumps, micro-hydro and wood pellet boilers and furnaces.
