Sheena Adams, Inuvik’s Regional Energy Project Coordinator, and Steve Outlet, Yellowknife’s Program Coordinator, teamed up for a trip to Tsiigehtchic in early November. The purpose of their trip was to supervise the WETT (Wood Energy Transfer Technology) certification of seven woodstoves recently installed in Tsiigehtchic. WETT certification is used to verify that the stove is installed safely.

The trip was completed just in time before the cold weather settled in for the winter – thankfully the pair caught the last ferry on the MV Louis Cardinal from Tsiigehtchic to Fort McPherson. The picture shows a member of the community taking Sheena across the frozen Arctic Red River.
