Sheena Adams, Inuvik’s Regional Energy Project Coordinator,  recently spent a sunny but cold morning at the YK composting facility while she was in Yellowknife for the Energy Charrette.   Although the temperature was -20 Celsius, the composting temperature reached a productive and warm +50 Celsius.  Special thanks to Jade Cambron, composting expert at Ecology North, for taking Sheena and teaching her about winter composting North of 60.

The picture shows Sheena in her landfill gear beside the compost pile.
