Sheena Adams, our Beaufort-Delta Regional Energy Project Coordinator, has been busy attending Community Healthy Living Fairs in her region. On October 18 and 19, she was at the fair in Fort McPherson to encourage people to keep their community healthy by reducing their energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.

The “Strengthening Partnerships” day on Wednesday opened with demonstrations of fish cutting and doughnut making. It also included live fiddle music, performances by the Tetlit Gwich’in Dancers and a meet-and-greet tour of the community.

The fair itself, held at the school gym on Thursday, was well attended. Sheena donated a set of LED Christmas lights to the prize table to help the lucky winner save energy and money over the holidays.
