Check out our latest annual report to see what the AEA has been up to over the past year. Here are some of the highlights:
- We provided 2,656 total rebates and other incentives, worth $1.3 million.
- The clients we worked with will annually save:
- 1,100 tonnes of greenhouse gases—equivalent to converting 70 percent of the power generation for the community of Fort Liard to renewable electricity
- 11,000 GJ worth of oil, propane, natural gas and gasoline—equivalent to 290,000 L of heating oil (1,800 barrels), or 330,000 L of gasoline (2,100 barrels)
- 1,400 MWh of electricity—equivalent to taking two communities the size of Wekweèti off the grid
- $760,000
- For the first time ever, the Beaufort–Delta region outpaced the North Slave region in the total number of rebates we gave out for energy-efficient products (under our Energy Efficiency Incentive Program). We gave out 875 rebates in the Beaufort–Delta compared to 587 in the North Slave.
- We gave out rebates on 11 electric vehicles and five chargers—triple the number we gave out the previous year.
- We worked with two partner communities to get 26 efficient wood stoves installed in residents’ homes, which will save a combined 690 kg of particulate emissions and 50 tonnes of greenhouse gases a year.
