Info on renewable energy and building improvement rebates before April 1, 2024

Please do not submit a rebate application for the following programs before April 1 unless your project can be completed and you can submit all final paperwork to us by March 10.

The funding we receive for our rebate programs is based on our fiscal year, which runs from April 1 to March 31. To ensure we can process applications properly by the end of the fiscal year, any projects that have already been pre-approved for a rebate must be finished, and all paperwork submitted to us, by March 10. We will only process new rebate applications if the projects can be finished before March 10.

If you would like to apply for a rebate on a renewable energy project or a building upgrade and your project may not be completed by March 10, please apply as of April 1, when our new fiscal year starts. There may be changes to our rebates for next year. For example, the rebate amounts or the conditions could be different. This depends on the funding we will receive, among other things.

If you would like to get a notification when we are accepting applications for next fiscal year, please email info@aea.nt.ca. If you have already applied for a rebate but won’t have your project completed by March 10, please let us know as soon as possible. You will have to re-apply for a rebate as of April 1. Your new application will be subject to any changes to rebate amounts and conditions for the 2024/25 fiscal year.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
